Suzanne Ostrander

I am Sophie, and the young lady is my friend Suzanne Ostrander. We used to live in this great house in the Amherst subdivision in Apex. If I were a stupid dog, I would call her my owner, but I am a cat and you know how we cats actually own everything. Suzanne got a large promotion from Kern McNeill International, but they wanted her to move to New Jersey. She does something complicated that helps everyone know that prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals are safe. I was not too sure I wanted to leave my home in Apex, after all I had just finished marking every spot I liked on the downstairs carpet. But, Suzanne talked me into it. That was when Tim Burrell came over. Several other Realtors came over, but they only upset Suzanne. Suzanne does not like traditional salesmen, pitch artists with canned lines. She had a problem that needed solving. You see, the developer in our neighborhood had done an unkind thing to Suzanne; he started building less expensive homes. So, our home would not sell for as much as Suzanne paid for it. That made it hard for her to accept the job promotion. I can read Suzanne. She trusted Tim, but she wanted to see him work. Since he was the leader of the Team For Your Dreams, she needed help getting to her dreams. She had him fill out lots of reports and call the Relocation company and talk to them about the pricing on the house. She told me that Tim teaches negotiations. While he does not pet me well, he has other talents. The company decided that Suzanne was so valuable to them that they would cover the loss on the house, up to a certain figure. So, Tim was able to price the house right. I am still upset with Tim for having his carpet people replace the downstairs carpet. All the buyers going through the house loved it, saying the house was so fresh and clean, but I liked the old carpet better. Tim came over a lot, which made me hide under the bed at first. He took lots of pictures so that we could have our house look good on www.realtor.com/triangleareaNC/timburrell and www.timburrell.com. I did not know if I liked the bright yellow color of the sign in the front yard that told buyers could call a free number to find out how they could buy the house with no money down. Also, I was curious about why so many Mormons came to the house, then I learned that Tim had contacted people at the new Mormon Temple nearby (although Tim kept correcting me - it’s the Church of Latter Day Saints). Then, Tim brought people with strange cameras that created something called a virtual tour, so the people could look at even more of our house on the Internet. A couple came to see the house after looking at a virtual tour. I listen to everything people say when they look at the house. They told Dianne, their agent, “Don’t show us any more houses. This is just what we liked when we looked at the virtual tour.” The gentleman was a bit hard to understand with his British accent, but a cat like me understands everything. Suzanne was happy when she got the offer. Suzanne kept talking with Kathy McShane, the closing coordinator for the Team For YOUr Dreams, and Tim about the Relocation Company. They needed lots of papers. Also, since the buyer was selling a house in some place called the U.K. (I think that’s England), they needed even more papers to be sure we would move smoothly. I did not want all my toys stuck in a box then not have the moving vans arrive on time. Tim and Kathy got it all done smoothly. With this Relocation company and the agent for the Buyers who was new in the business, there was a lot of coordination over repairs. Tim and Kathy provided and supervised all the repairmen. I heard several phone calls where Tim and Kathy reported the progress to Suzanne while she just kept up with her normal schedule. Suzanne works hard enough, so Tim and Kathy took care of everything. There was never any doubt that we would finish the sale on time, something Suzanne calls “closing.” The day before the closing, Suzanne and I were crossing the state line leaving North Carolina and entering Virginia when Tim called. He interrupted a discussion I was having with Suzanne about the scenery looking different. He said all the paperwork was in place, and we would close the next morning. Suzanne had worked hard all day making sure the movers got everything on the truck. I could see her face relax a little after that call. Tim called again the next day to say the closing went just as planned, and the buyers were delightful. I could see Suzanne’s eyes sparkle with happiness, because she loved her house in Apex and wanted good people to have it. If you have a friend like Suzanne, have them call Tim and the Team For YOUR Dreams. Tim and the Team will get good people to fix your house, use modern marketing so lots of great people look at your house, negotiate the best price, and make sure you move right on schedule while you go about your normal routine. I am upset with Tim over one thing. I have to stay with friends for six months in New Jersey because the landlords do not allow pets. But, Suzanne is building us a new town home, so I will have a new carpet that I can change to be just like home. If you would like to talk to me about moving, and how I purrrr for Tim and his Team, send me an e-mail at sostrand45@aol.com and Suzanne will read it to me. I will respond, but you will have to be patient, as typing is a slow process with paws. Contact the Team at (800) 884-2117 ext. 3030 or e-mail tim@timburrell.com
